Downtown Geneva, the river beneath our feet, a breath of apprehension before plunging into the swift waters below, which will sweep us toward France—Tom Sawyering the Rhône.
Without a moment’s hesitation we run—right off a cliff; with a jerk the wind takes us and we soar, paragliding above Interlaken.
The drinks flow; we pour ourselves into the music; our bodies respond to its thump; the sun rises over a quaint Spanish town and we dance on, oblivious to all.
The creak of leather, crisp air with a hint of pine, a sheer drop to the right, the snaggletoothed Grand Tetons the backdrop for a mountain ride on horseback.
Ruddy orange light streaks across the dunes, sitting on a coarse blanket I gaze outward— biting sand forever etches the Arabian Desert upon my mind’s eye.
We lunch atop Tanzboden, our exhaustion cradled within a panorama of snowcapped Alps.
The dark of night conceals a bunch of raving lunatics on a sheet of ice flailing brooms at each other in a vain attempt to cause certain round objects to make their way into various square objects.
